DES MOINES, Iowa - Police are still gathering information on the shooting death of a man in Des Moines' Sherman Hill neighborhood Monday.
Officers say he was found in a vehicle near an apartment building at 689 18th Street shortly after 2:30 pm.
They performed CPR on the man who was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
The victim died about a half-hour after arriving at the hospital. His identity has not been released because family members are still being notified. No suspect information has been released.
Police say an investigation is ongoing, and they plan to release more information on the shooting at 4 pm Tuesday afternoon.
