COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa - A man is going to prison after being caught in an anti-sex trafficking operation in Council Bluffs.
Forty-year-old John Daniel Nielsen, Sr. of Omaha has been given three years in prison and five year of probation for travel with intent to illicit sexual conduct.
Nielsen was arrested after arranging illicit activity through text messages with an undercover officer he thought was a 15-year-old girl.
He was arrested after arriving at a motel on February 15th.
Nielsen will be required to pay $5,000 to the Justice for Victims of Trafficking Act and $100 to the Crime Victims' Fund.
