DES MOINES, Iowa - Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden says Iowa Republican Senator Joni Ernst “spilled the beans”.
Biden made the statement on Twitter after Ernst suggested the defense presented by President Trump's legal team in his impeachment trial could hurt Biden in the Iowa caucuses.
Trump attorneys argued that Biden, not their client, should be investigated for seeking the dismissal of Ukraine’s former prosecutor while Biden’s son sat on the board of a Ukrainian company
Biden tweeted that Ernst and Trump are "scared to death" that he'll be the nominee.
Trump is being impeached after being accused of pressuring Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to open investigations into domestic political rivals including the Bidens, while withholding $391 million in military aid until Zelensky announced those investigations.
