American Airlines Captain Beverley Bass who was en route from Paris to Dallas on September 11th, 2001, was rerouted to Gander, Newfoundland when the government grounded all flights. Gander was a town of only 9,600 and was inundated with people from all different nationalities landing in their town, staying for five days! "Come From Away" is a musical made about the true story of 7,000 stranded passengers in this small town and it's coming to the Des Moines Civic Center tonight thru February 2nd.
