According to the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)’s National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases Dr. Nancy Messonnier, the Coronavirus could get a foothold in the United States.
In a phone briefing with reporters yesterday she said the CDC is preparing for coronavirus "to take a foothold in the US".
“At some point, we are likely to see community spread in the US or other countries,” she stated.
Oh and the World Health Organization has given it a new name! It's now called COVID-19.
