DES MOINES, Iowa - Some lucky babies made their entrance into the world on Leap Day in Des Moines.
UnityPoint Health-Des Moines says it delivered 15 babies at its hospitals on February 29th, a date that only occurs once every 4 years. The babies, who were born Saturday, are referred to a “Leaplings."
The odds of being born on Leap Day are one in 15 hundred or a less than one percent chance.
