DES MOINES, Iowa -- There are 97 new cases of COVID-19 coronavirus cases in Iowa, increasing the state's total to 1,145.
The Iowa Department of Public Health says there are now positive cases in 79 of Iowa's 99 counties, with a new case in Wirth County.
There is also another coronavirus death--an elderly person in Linn County. That's brings the state's total to 27.
Public Health says 122 people are hospitalized with COVID-19 and 431 people have recovered.
