EARLHAM, Iowa - An anonymous person donates thousands of dollars worth of gift cards to a small south-central Iowa community.
WHO-TV13 reports the person mailed 50 dollar gift cards for three local businesses to nearly 550 homes in Earlham, southwest of Des Moines, this week. Earlham has a population of roughly 1,400 people as of 2017.
A letter with the gift cards says the donor's wanting to keep the local economy strong during these unusual times.
Earlham is in Madison County, and is part of the Des Moines metro area.
