DES MOINES, Iowa -- Iowa sees it's largest single-day increase in new COIVD-19 coronavirus cases on Tuesday.
The Iowa Department of Public Health says there are 189 new cases, making the state's total 1,899 cases.
The Department says 86 of those new cases are related to a Tyson pork processing plant in Columbus Junction--in Southeast Iowa's Louisa County.
Public Health also says there are six additional deaths--the virus has now killed 49 people in the state.
IDPH says 163 people are hospitalized with COVID-19, and 790 people have recovered from the virus.
