GRIMES, Iowa - The Polk County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a death after being called to a residence at 1405 NE Mockingbird Lane in Grimes at about 7:45 Sunday morning.
Deputies says they arrived to find an unresponsive 35 year old female in the residence. Her 46 year-old male fiance was also at the home.
The victim’s name is being withheld in order for family member to be informed of the death.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigative Division along with the Iowa Division of Criminal of Investigation (DCI) are investigating at the scene. Detectives are interviewing potential witnesses and evidence is being examined.
