DES MOINES, Iowa -- The COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak is effecting summer classes at Des Moines Area Community College.
DMACC says any of it's summer classes that start before July 1st will only be held online.
The school says it's prioritizing the health and safety of students, faculty and staff members in response to information from the Iowa Department of Public Health that says social distancing measures will likely continue for some time.
"We appreciate your continued understanding and recognition that we are all operating in uncharted territory. We will continue to respond based on the best and latest information available” DMACC President Rob Denson says in an e-mail to students.
DMACC's summer classes are scheduled to start May 26th.
