DES MOINES, Iowa -- The first drive-through COVID-19 coronavirus testing station is now open in Des Moines.
The Test Iowa testing site is downtown in the parking lot just north of Wells Fargo Arena. To be tested, you have to take an online assessment at Test Iowa's website and then schedule an appointment if you qualify.
"We have the Department of Transportation, the Iowa National Guard, people from the governor’s office who are dedicated to make sure this runs well and that Iowans are healthy,” said Lt. Col. Wesley Hall tells WHO Channel 13.
This is the only Test Iowa site open right now. The governor's office says more sites will open across the state in the coming weeks.
