DES MOINES, Iowa - A Des Moines man's in the Polk County Jail after being accused of leading police on a chase on the city’s east side.
Officers say they tried to pull over 23-year-old Salvador Terrazas-Saucedo Jr. for careless driving near East 14th and Cleveland around 9:45 Monday night.
Terrazas-Saucedo refused to stop, and led police on a chase that ended with a PIT maneuver at East 26th and Lyon. (A PIT maneuver is a tactic used by police to force a fleeing car to turn sideways abruptly, causing the driver to lose control and stop).
Officers say he had a gun and drugs in his possession when he was arrested.
