The victim in Wednesday's Mahaska County Homicide has been identified.
55-year old Steven Jay Davis was found by police Wednesday afternoon at his house in rural New Sharon.
A preliminary autopsy results show that he died of a single gunshot wound to the head.
The Mahaska County Sheriff's Office says 69-year old Carol Ann Davis is charged with 1st degree murder. She's being held in the Mahaska County jail on a million dollars bond.
Police say the suspect and victim are husband and wife. An investigation is still ongoing.
