DES MOINES, Iowa - Eight employees at Bridgestone Americas Inc.'s Des Moines agricultural tire plant have tested positive for Covid-19.
The plant closed for several weeks in March for deep cleaning to prevent the spread of the virus. It's first worker test positive for COVID-19 on April 23rd.
The European Rubber Journal reports Bridgestone says it's taking steps to keep workers safe, and educating them on virus prevention.
The Des Moines plant, which makes agriculture tires, is also screening anyone entering, including employees, contractors, and visitors.
