The Animal Rescue League of Iowa has released an update on an abused cat in Des Moines.
The A-R-L says 21-year old Rosemary Buelow is in the Polk County Jail charged with animal torture.
They say the injured cat was found by the Animal Rescue League and Des Moines Police multiple stab wounds and was soaking wet.
The ARL says the injured cat and two others are being cared for the ARL.
They say the injured cat may need surgery.
