DES MOINES, Iowa - Several hundred protesters marched around central Des Moines Thursday night for the first time in days without a curfew in place.
They gathered at East High School to give speeches before marching downtown.
The protesters staged a stop the Tipsy Crow tavern, where they chanted against a dress code that organizers called discriminatory. Several patrons then left the bar which brought cheers from the protesters.
Throughout the night, the march snaked along a path that passed by the Iowa State Capitol, the Polk County Justice Center and the Polk County Couthouse before disbanding at East High School shortly after 10:30 p.m.
There were no reports of any violence or arrests.
Des Moines Black Lives Matter organized the march, which marked the seventh straight day of protests and demonstrations in the city after the death of George Floyd while in police custody in Minneapolis.
