BOONE, Iowa -- Fall sports will start as scheduled at Iowa high schools.
The Iowa High School Athletic Association announced Friday that practices for football, cross country, and Class 4A golf will all start on Aug. 10.
Here's when these student-athletes will first compete:
- Golf competitions begin Aug. 13
- Cross country races begin Aug. 24
- Football games begin Aug. 27
The IHSSA plans to release guidelines for all three sports on July 27 and says the health and safety of student-athletes are their priorities.
