DAVENPORT, Iowa - The search continues in eastern Iowa for a 10-year-old girl who disappeared more than a week ago.
Dozens of police departments and hundreds of volunteers have been looking for Breasia Terrell, who disappeared disappeared from Davenport early in the morning on July 10th.
The search has centered on an area near the city of Clinton.
Davenport Police now say there is no longer a need for search volunteers in Clinton, as they're actively investigating and in constant contact with the family. Police do say people seeking to join a volunteer search party should self-organize and work in groups of three or more
Investigators have not named a suspect in the disappearance. An Amber alert last week listed 47-year-old Henry Dinkins as the abductor of Terrel
Hes is the father of her younger brother and is in custody, charged with violating his registration as a sex offender.
Dinkens was convicted in 1990 of sexually abusing a child under the age of 13. He was 17 at the time.
Breasia is 4’5″, 75 pounds with brown eyes and black hair. She was last seen wearing an oversized white t-shirt, shorts and pink or white flip flops.
