DES MOINES, Iowa - A motorcyclist is dead after a crash with an SUV Monday night in Des Moines.
Police and Fire rescue personnel were called to the intersection of SE 22nd Street and Park Avenue just after 8:30 pm where they found an injured adult man who was driving the motorcycle.
He was transported to Methodist Medical Center with critical injuries, where he died after receiving life-saving attempts.
The Des Moines Police Department Traffic Unit has been investigating the crash. The intersection has been closed, but will be open prior to the morning commute.
