The Big 12 has approved a scheduling model that will include nine conference games and one non-conference game for the upcoming season.
It's anticipated the season would start in mid-to-late September.
The model also gives the conference flexibility to move back the Big 12 Championship game to December 12th or 19th.
Iowa State currently has three non-conference games on its schedule this year: South Dakota, Ball State, and UNLV.
