AMES, Iowa -- Just over two percent of Iowa State University students who want to live on-campus have tested positive for COVID-19.
The school says through August 6th, 3,037 students were tested. Sixty-six of them came back positive, and 2,971--or 97.8 percent--were negative.
Iowa State says about half of those who tested positive this week chose to go home to complete the required isolation.
The school has also set up isolation rooms in residence halls for those who test positive.
Iowa State says it's COVID-19 testing will continue though August 16th for those students who want to live in residence halls.
ISU classes are set to start on August 17th.
