President Trump has approved Governor Kim Reynolds request for funding Linn County under the Federal Emergency Management Agency's (FEMA) Individual Assistance program.
This was final part of the Governor's request for federal disaster relief to be approved. The state is receiving just under $4 billion in relief funds from the federal government.
Additional counties may be approved for Individual Assistance funding in the future.
Governor Reynolds says this will help Iowans affected by the storm pay for clean-up and recovery costs not covered by insurance.
