UNION COUNTY, Iowa - A motorcyclist is dead after striking the back of a truck near Creston.
The Iowa State Patrol says 44 year-old Richard Starlin of Creston was traveling over a hill when he hit the back of a pickup truck.
Troopers say Starlin was traveling faster than the pickup truck and hit the, but still hit the back-end with the front fender of the motorcycle.
The say 52-year-old Thaddeus Sickels of Creston, who was driving the truck, tried to helpStarlin, who died at the scene.
The crash is still under investigation.
