DES MOINES, Iowa - The Iowa Farm Bureau says a fake email is circulating on social media claiming it no longer supports Senator Joni Ernst.
The group says any news reports that speak to the email's validity are false.
Ernst is in a tight race with Democrat Theresa Greenfield in next month's election for the U.S. Senate. Most polling shows Greenfield with a single digit lead in the race, sometimes within the margin of error. The contest between Ernst and Greenfield is the 2nd most expensive race in U.S. Senate history.
The Farm Bureau has endorsed Ernst and two other Iowa Republicans - State Senator Randy Feenstra in District in District 4, and former U.S. Rep. David Young in District 3 - for Congressional seats in the election.
