WEST DES MOINES, Iowa - The owners of a West Des Moines bar are facing charges of fraud and tax evasion.
Jorge Sanchez Vasquez and Maria Mendoza Nava, the owners of Xcaret Bar and Lounge, were arrested over the weekend.
Criminal complaints in the case say they did not pay sales tax on revenue of over $124,000 between the fourth quarter of 2018 and the fourth quarter of 2019.
They're also accused of not filing personal income taxes since 2011.
Both have posted bail and are out of jail on bond.
