DES MOINES, Iowa -- Des Moines releases the results of its 2020 resident satisfaction survey.
Des Moines ranked above the national average for the quality of its public libraries, fire protection, police protection, city parks, garbage collection, and overall feeling of safety.
It ranked above 80-percent for the quality of its libraries, fire protection and city parks.
Residents ranked the quality of police protection at 68-percent and an overall feeling of safety at 75-percent.
The surveys are used in funding decisions by the City Council.
