STORM LAKE, Iowa - A family is now suing Tyson Foods over its COVID-19 response at its meatpacking plant in Storm Lake.
The family of 65-year old Michael Everhard claims Tyson continued to put him in a small work environment without proper safety measures.
He died in June after three weeks in the hospital.
Tyson's responded, claiming its implemented numerous measures that exceeded CDC and OSHA guidelines and that they're saddened by the loss of any team member.
The lawsuit was filed on behalf of Everhard’s three children.
