PISGAH, Iowa - A western Iowa man faces first degree murder charges after being accused of hitting another man multiple times with a pickup truck.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation has released more information about the events that took place Thursday night at and around a Harrison County restaurant/bar.
Several people and family members were involved in a series of altercations and threats at Dave's Old Home Cafe, which ended in the death.
Kristofer Erlbacher is accused of striking Caleb Solberg numerous times with his truck, and then hindering anyone from providing aid by continuing to drive by Solberg's body.
Solberg died from the injuries, and Erlbacher was eventually taken into custody after his truck became disabled. He's being held in the Harrison County Jail with no bond.
During the course of the evening, Erlbacher is also accused of hitting another vehicle with his truck more than once.That driver was struck by his own vehicle when he got out to assess damage and Erlbacher drove into the vehicle again at a higher rate of speed.
Erlbacher left Dave's Old Home Cafe after the encounter that left Solberg dead, but his truck became disabled.
Erlbacher's father eventually arrived and to took him back to restaurant/bar, where he was taken into custody.
