IOWA CITY, Iowa - A local group is offering New Year's Eve party snacks with a portion of proceeds going to feed the hungry.
Film Scene in Iowa City is selling curbside snack bundles that includes popcorn, baked goods and beverages.
The bundles can be picked up Wednesday at the Chauncey Theater with five dollars from each bundle supporting Table to Table.
Table to Table collects edible food that would otherwise go to waste and distributes it to those in need through agencies that serve the homeless and at-risk people.
The snack bundles available for purchase ranges from $15 to $35, and include popcorn, beverages - including local Iowa beers, cookies from Deluxe Cakes and Pastries, and some party supplies.
Film Scene is recommending the snack bundles be used while watching a movie marathon in the countdown to the new year.

Film Scene and Table to Table are non-profit organizations. Table to Table says it's rescued and distributed over 20 million pounds of food to area agencies since 1996.
