AMES, Iowa -- The Ames Community School District will send some of its students back to full-time, in building classes next month.
The Ames School Board voted Tuesday to send pre-kindergarten through 5th grade elementary students that had been going to school online and in-person back to 100-perecnt in-person when Winter Break end on January 4th.
The District says students who had been going to school completely online can continue to do so, even when hybrid learning ends.
The district says Ames high school and middle school students are likely to stay in hybrid or remote learning until the current semester ends. They say the earliest those students could go back to full-time in-person learning is February 1st.
