One person was killed after three successive crashes on an icy stretch of a highway just outside of Oskaloosa.
The crashes happened on Highway 163 on Monday morning.
The Mahaska County Sheriff's Office says three cars crashed in the same area near Jewell Avenue.
One person, Henry Beerbower, was ejected from his car. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
An investigation is underway.
