LINCOLN, Nebraska -- Nebraska's top federal prosecutor is stepping down.
U. S. Attorney for the District of Nebraska Joseph Kelly submits his resignation to President Joe Biden effective February 28th.
As a political appointment, it's standard procedure when a new administration takes over.
Kelly was appointed by former President Donald Trump and served more than three years.
President Biden asked for the resignations of all U.S. Attorneys as he will replace them with his appointees.
