COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa -- For the second year in a row, Council Bluffs is canceling its "Loessfest" celebration.
Mayor Matt Walsh tells 6 News they hope to bring the event back.
"Because these events take a lot of planning and booking acts several months out, we really didn’t know where we would be by Memorial Day this year. So we for a second year won’t have Loessfest," the mayor said.
The festival has been held at River's Edge Park since 2013 to celebrate the start of summer.
It’s a multi-day event with live music, movies, and vendors.
