IOWA - Iowa is improving its delivery of COVID-19 shots to people.
Despite long waiting lists for vaccines, the state is now tied for 8th in getting its supply of doses into arms.
The date from the New York Times shows Iowa is delivering vaccines at a higher rate than the national average.
It's also now tied for 11th in fully vaccinating people with a second dose after ranking at the bottom less than a week ago.
Iowa state data shows 347,384 people have completed the vaccinations, which translates to about 11 percent of the state's population.
Thursday night, President Biden said he would order states to allow all adults to receive vaccines.
Iowa currently is allowing adults with underlying health conditions to receive vaccines. Another tier of farm and manufacturing workers and homebound disabled people and their care givers will open up on Monday, March 22nd.
President Biden has also said the country will have enough vaccine supply for all adults by the end of May.
