LAS VEGAS, Nevada - Iowa State University is reported to be getting its next basketball coach from Nevada.
The Las Vegas Review-Journal reports two unnamed sources confirm that T.J. Otzelberger is a "done deal," barring a change at the eleventh hour.
Otzelberger would be leaving the University of Nevada - Las Vegas for Iowa State.
He' married to former ISU star Allison Lacey and has been a Cyclones assistant coach. Otzelberger is also friends with Iowa State Athletic Director Jamie Pollard.
Pollard said Tuesday during a news conference that he intends to move fast toward finding a replacement for Steve Prohm, who was fired Monday. The Cyclones went 0-18 in the Big Ten this season.
Otzelberger would be leaving UNLV after two seasons.
