(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Authorities are looking for a Linn County Jail inmate, who was treated at Mercy Hospital in Cedar Rapids and slipped away Monday night, May 31st. Forty-two-year-old Michelle Brashear was being held on a 2nd Degree Theft charge and Providing False Identification Information.
Breashear was to be returned to jail after a hospital stay but staff notified the jail that she fled last night.
The Linn County Sheriff Office, along with the Cedar Rapids Police Department searched but was unable to find Brashear, who remains at large.
