MONTEZUMA, Iowa - The reward for finding a missing eleven-year-old Iowa boy is up to near $17,000.
The Poweshiek County Sheriff's Office says businesses and citizens have donated to boost reward money by a couple of thousand dollars in the search for Xavior Harrelson.
This Thursday would mark three weeks since he went missing from Montezuma.
There's been no new information in recent days on Harrelson's disappearance by the FBI or the Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation (DCI).
DCI has been gathering as much video surveillance as possible from area businesses and residents for its investigation. The FBI has set up a tip line.
Neighbors in the trailer park where Xavior lived said last week that his mother moved away from the home she shared with him.
Investigators have said they can’t comment on her whereabouts, but say she is still cooperating with them.
Xavior was last seen around 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 27th at his home in the Spruce Village Trailer Park in Montezuma
He was last known to be wearing a red t-shirt, blue pajama pants, and black high-top shoes. He has brown hair and blue eyes, and he is about 4′9″ tall and 100 pounds.
