(Waukee, IA) -- Waukee's Celebration of Independence will be three-full days this year. The city announced the celebration will be full of events at Centennial Park from July 2nd to July 4th. People will be able to enjoy a carnival, family games, food, a new parade route, possibly a showing of Des Moines Skydivers, and fireworks.
Additionally, the Waukee Fire Department has released a video on social media reminding residents when and where they can light fireworks. The video has a gentlemen lighting fireworks in the wrong areas and a firefighter quickly coming out of nowhere to extinguish the launch with a fire extinguisher. This happens multiple times.
