(West Des Moines, IA) -- The city of West Des Moines' annual Independence Day Parade will be held on Saturday, July 3rd beginning at 6:30 p.m. The city announced on its website the parade route is changed this year because of construction on Vine Street. The parade begins at Valley High school and runs along most of Vine Street and ends at Maple Street. The fireworks show on July 4th will be at City School Campus pond at 9:30 p.m. The city says there will not be a fireworks display at Raccoon River Park.
