(West Des Moines, Iowa) -- Today is World Blood Donor Day, and LifeServe Blood Center's biggest blood drive of the year is underway today at Valley West Mall.
Demand for blood donations is high heading into the summer, meaning more donors are needed. Donors have to register, fill out a questionnaire, and take a short physical. The blood drive goes until 7:00 tonight.
