OMAHA, Nebraska -- A few scattered storms are possible throughout the day in Omaha, but full-out storms aren't expected.

The National Weather Service says the strongest chance for storms is later tonight, after some early morning storms near the Omaha area today.

It's going to be another scorcher around the U.S., with heat advisories in effect all over the country.

It'll be in the 90s in Omaha this weekend, before dipping back down into the high 70s early next week.

Omaha and Lincoln set new record highs earlier this week.

It was 105 degrees in Omaha yesterday, the hottest since June 1953.

Lincoln felt 103 degree temperatures Thursday, the hottest since 1918.
