(Cedar Rapids, Iowa) -- The Cedar Rapids Community School District is asking the public for feedback on what role its school resource officers should play this fall.
Last night, the school district held the first of two listening sessions, where parents, staff, and community members could participate in the discussion. School resource officers are police officers with the Cedar Rapids Police Department and serve in seven district schools.
The next listening session is tonight from 7pm-8pm at McKinley Middle School.
