(Ankeny, IA) -- Friends and family members of the Ankeny man facing weapons charges in Chicago are rally around him.
Keegan Casteel was arrested after a rifle and pistol were found in his Chicago hotel room. While Casteel does have gun permits for Iowa he did not have the proper licenses to have the firearms in Illinois.
A GoFundMe fundraising page has been set up to help Casteel pay his legal bills and has a goal of raising $20,000 to defend him from the charges.
Casteel will next appear in court on two unlawful use of a weapon charges Wednesday.
