(Des Moines, IA) -- This is the first year in Iowa that credit cards can be used as a form of payment at all stands.
The Iowa State Fair required all vendors to buy the Clover app. The app offers contactless options, inventory management, sales tracking, and paperless receipts.
Vendors say most of their sales are still cash based while people are transitioning over to using cards.
