(Waukee, IA) -- Changing of a four-way stop sign intersection in Waukee is extended to September 17th. The intersection of Warrior and Windfield Parkway will change to have only two stop signs on the East and West parts of the intersection. The flashing red lights will also be removed. The city says the intersection was supposed to be changed by Friday but is delayed because of an equipment delay for the planned rapid flashing pedestrian beacon. The city says an engineers' traffic study shows the change is expected to improve the flow of traffic in the area while also providing a safe crossing space for pedestrians
