(Polk County, IA) -- The Polk County Sheriff's Office is releasing the name of a man killed in a crash on the By-Pass in eastern Polk County.
The Sheriff's Office says 53-year-old John Schmidt of Pleasantville crossed the center median on Highway 65 yesterday (Thursday) near Army Post Road. His vehicle was then hit by two other vehicles.
The accident happened in the northbound lanes of the bypass around 4:00 p.m.
