(Omaha, NE) -- Renters across the Omaha metro are no longer protected by the Centers for Disease Control eviction moratorium.
The Supreme Court has ruled that the CDC does not have the authority to issue an eviction moratorium without congressional approval.
There are still millions of dollars in rental assistance available.
Randy McCoy, the Executive Director of MACCH, says the funds will help landlords offer alternatives to eviction.
He's urging landlords and tenants to start the application process right away as it can take several weeks to get assistance.
