(Iowa City, IA) -- The University of Iowa is adding a women's wrestling program.
They're the first NCAA Division I, Power Five conference institution to add the sport. The University first teased the idea of adding the program in February, saying they would need up to $1.5 million in startup costs.
They say they'll start looking for a coach this fall. They plan to start competing in the 2023-2024 school year.
