DES MOINES, Iowa -- Drought conditions are expanding again across Iowa, even after widespread rain in the state last week.
The new National Drought Monitor Map shows more severe drought in Eastern and East Central Iowa, while near-drought conditions expanded in Southern Iowa.
Right now, more than 80 percent of Iowa is abnormally dry or in some level of drought.
Only far parts of Western, Northwest, and Southwest Iowa are drought free.
